Position Overview
The business has demonstrated strong top-line growth, which prompted new Series B investment in July 2022. Seeking to grow exponentially, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to be a part of this organic growth and M&A scale up journey.
The role supports the CFO and the finance manager in a variety of projects. A wide ranging role from process & systems improvements, enhancing of reporting, tax planning/R&D, supporting budgets/FP&A and team coaching.
The ideal candidate is someone who has worked in a fast paced business that is entering scale up mode, has a strong technical and problem solving background with some exposure and interest to develop their commercial skills.
What you will be doing:
Identifying and driving process improvements ready for scale.
Driving alongside the finance manager, reporting enhancements, especially around the area of revenue recognition.
Leading and coaching the finance manager on technical areas of tax planning, R&D claims and audit.
Regular review of financial accounting standards and updates.
Supporting on budgets, forecasts, FP&A and cash planning
Preparing and filing ad hoc external reports as well as preparing ad hoc internal analysis.
Supporting CFO and CTeam with requests.
Requirements
What we are looking for:
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
Likely to have 3 to 5 years experience as a Head of Finance or Financial Controller
Used to a fast paced scale up environment
Strong technical and problem solving skills
Some exposure to commercial and business awareness data analysis skills
Experience with complicated revenue and COS recognition is essential.
Experience with audits is essential.
Experience with US accounting is helpful but not essential.
Mid level Excel and modelling skills
Someone who is prepared to roll up their sleeves and support where needed across the Finance team as we are a rapidly growing company and priorities often shift quickly.
