Position Summary: 
Lead the analytics function for epocrates’ subscription business and product experience, turning data into insights that inform product decisions, membership performance, and roadmap priorities. This role partners with Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Marketing teams to evaluate feature performance, measure experiments, and support business growth. This is a remote role and reports to the Data Lead Director.

epocrates is a leading digital health platform that helps clinicians make informed decisions at the point of care. As part of athenahealth, the team focuses on delivering solutions that improve clinical workflows and patient outcomes. 

 
This Analytics team supports epocrates by delivering trusted analysis that helps improve the clinician experience and strengthen the subscription business. The team works closely with Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Marketing partners to define metrics, evaluate experiments, and monitor business health. Team members use analytics tools and reporting systems to build dashboards, analyze trends, and communicate findings clearly. The team’s work helps connect product decisions to measurable outcomes for both users and the business. 

Essential Job Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and develop a team of product analysts and support their growth through coaching, feedback, and clear goals 

  • Own analytics for the subscription business, including acquisition, conversion, retention, and churn 

  • Analyze product features to assess performance, user engagement, and impact on key business metrics 

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Marketing teams to design and measure experiments, including A/B tests, feature rollouts, and pricing changes 

  • Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to monitor product and subscription health 

  • Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders 

  • Identify opportunities to improve user experience and monetization through data-driven recommendations 

  • Establish and maintain best practices in analytics, data quality, and experimentation 

  • Use AI-enabled analysis and productivity tools to speed up recurring work, surface patterns in large datasets, and support faster insight generation for product and subscription decisions 

Additional Job Responsibilities: 

  • Support annual planning and prioritization by contributing analytical input and business context 

  • Partner with data and engineering teams to improve data definitions, tracking, and availability 

  • Present findings in team meetings, leadership reviews, and cross-functional forums 

  • Contribute to the development of scalable analytics processes and documentation 

  • Help evaluate new reporting methods and tools that improve team efficiency 

  • Respond to ad hoc questions from business partners with timely, accurate analysis 

Expected Education & Experience: 

  • 8+ years of experience in product analytics, growth analytics, or a related field 

  • 3+ years of experience managing and developing analytics teams 

  • Experience with subscription-based business models and membership analytics 

  • Demonstrated experience analy
