Advanced Systems Controls Engineering Specialist

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Specify, design, iterate and validate innovative feature design in the propulsion, thermal, mechanical and embedded controls domains 

• Systematize and automate Light Vehicle propulsion customer requirement decomposition, performance assessment and propulsion matching optimization 

• Benchmark competitive Tier 1 and customer OEM propulsion systems for performance, efficiency, gear ratio, load carrying, and novel intellectual property innovations 

• Lead system issue documentation and resolution management during design, development and validation phases 

• Lead colleagues with and without formal authority 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering 

• 10 years’ work experience in an automotive environment

• Progressive assignments within Light, Commercial or Off Highway vehicle development, vehicle validation or functional sciences engineering including both technical and managerial strengths 

• Experience with and passion for high performance or off road vehicles
