  • Performs and documents clinical workups for patients referred for possible interventional procedures; coordinates diagnostic testing and specialist referrals; determines appropriateness for intervention vs. conservative management.
  • Reviews diagnostic data (ultrasound, CT, MRI, vascular studies) and engages patients in shared decision-making based on findings.
  • Provides pre-procedure education and consent discussions when procedures are indicated.
  • Provides post-procedural care, including clinical assessments, wound checks, medication management, and patient education to ensure safe recovery.
  • Performs minor image-guided and bedside procedures within scope of practice, including but not limited to:
    • PICC line placement
    • Midline catheter placement
    • Paracentesis
    • Demonstrates willingness and ability to train for additional minor procedures within licensure scope (e.g., thyroid or lymph node FNA biopsies, ultrasound-guided drain placements).
  • Collaborates with referring physicians and specialists, providing timely clinical updates, coordinating care transitions, and reinforcing AMI’s role as a partner in vascular and interventional care.
