Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) assists high volume orthopedic surgeons with surgical and/or clinical responsibilities. The APP may perform duties as first assist in the OR under the direction of our Orthopedic Surgeons.

Essential functions

• Obtains, compiles, and records patient medical data, health history, progress notes, and results of the examination
• Instructs and counsels patients about the prescribed therapeutic regimens
• Assists Orthopedic Surgeon during surgery or complicated medical procedures

• Typical professional medical clinic environment
• Ambulatory Surgery Center

Physical demands

• Must be able to lift at least 50+ lbs.
• Moving patients, lifting and helping patients with needs, lifting and moving heavy x-ray equipment, transporting patients
• Frequently on your feet standing and walking

Travel required

• Travel to Greenwood and Carmel

Preferred education and experience

• NCCPA or Nurse Practitioner Certification
• Valid license with state of Indiana 
• Familiarity with EMR systems, NextGen experience helpful but not required
