As a Security Professional -  Manufacturing Site Patrol - Part Time in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment within a dynamic food and beverage location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will interact with employees, visitors, and guests, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. This position requires you to be comfortable using technology such as computers or tablets, and it is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, guests, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Support emergency response efforts as directed by site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Applicants must be comfortable using a computer or tablet; this is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
