Job Summary:
Compass Group North America has an exciting opportunity in the Business Information Security Office department as a Senior Project Manager, whose role will bridge the gap between security and business interests for the Sales/Levy/Foodbuy super sectors. The Senior Project Manager will raise the corporate cybersecurity program's profile within the business, increase delivery of cybersecurity services internally, learn the specific super sectors needs and offer them technical & operational support.
Combining business acumen with technical knowledge, this Senior Project Manager role will assist in improving the information security posture with respect to delivering services and partnering with the specific sectors’ leadership. The Senior Manager will ensure business compliance with Information Security Policies and Standards while continuously monitoring and reporting on risks and documented exceptions. The role will help the Sales, Levy and Foodbuy channels to achieve their business objectives while not compromising the security posture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engage and build relationships with the business unit leadership team to understand, discuss, and advise on strategic priorities, concerns and key IT and cybersecurity risks.
- Provides an escalation path from the Sales, Levy and Foodbuy super sectors to the Corporate information security team for information security consultation requests, project support, security issues, incidents, customer inquiries and investigations.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the super sectors’ environment to manage the threat and risk landscape – application stacks, infrastructure components, and external facing footprint.
- Work proactively with super sector leadership to ensure security, IT risk and compliance is actively built into organizational objectives and procedures.
- Lead regular, timely reporting on the information security status across the super sectors (Sales, Levy and Foodbuy) and communicate metrics/reporting to the CISO leadership team with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Oversees and ensures the sectors new products, services, applications, third party or client relationships have appropriate security controls embedded and that any identified risks are appropriately addressed for remediation.
- Leads information security risk assessments on internal and external Vendors and services.
- Collaborates with various teams in building disaster recovery, business continuity and crisis management plans within the business sectors.
- Provides the Incident Response teams with knowledge of local systems and applications
- Reviews local processes and products for policy violation/non-compliance areas
- Works with Sales, Levy and Foodbuy sectors and Corporate leadership to determine acceptable levels of risk, report on variances, and propose mitigation activities
- Support development efforts (discovery, requirements, etc.) in enhancing current and future security products/tools.
