Together, we inspire and innovate the markets we serve – providing invaluable intelligence to help our customers overcome the toughest challenges, and make strategic decisions that will, ultimately, accelerate the world’s transition to a more sustainable future.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>Wood Mackenzie Power and Renewables provides integrated subscription, research and advisory services to inform and support our client’s commercial and strategic decisions in the complex and rapidly changing electric power industry.</p><p>Combining our deep knowledge of solar, wind, storage, and grid technologies, with our global power and fuels modeling and analytical capabilities, Wood Mackenzie can provide data and insight spanning supply chain, technology costs, policy and market issues, fundamentals-based outlooks, price forecasting, asset valuation, and commodity market issues.</p><p><strong>Team Profile</strong></p><p>This role will serve as part of Wood Mackenzie’s Power and Renewables team, with a focus on wind supply chain, systems and technology. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team and make a major contribution to the energy transition at a global scale. Our supply chain and technology team provides market intelligence and analysis to asset owners, developers, turbine OEMs, Independent Service Providers and renewable industry professionals regarding the changing landscape of the global wind supply chain and wind technology trends. This research encompasses market assessments, component and system cost benchmarking and forecasting, strategy identification, supply chain support and competitive analysis.</p><p><strong>Role Purpose</strong></p><p>You will be responsible for research and analysis in our growing Wind practice, serving as a subject matter expert on wind supply chain and technology.</p><p>You will conduct original quantitative and qualitative market research and deliver analysis through written reports, consulting, client inquiries, and speaking engagements. As a part of Wood Mackenzie’s wind team, you will serve clients who are responsible for the success of their firm’s supply chain strategies, competitive market positioning, system cost modelling, technology roadmaps and deployment strategies.</p><p><strong>Main Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Research, Analysis and Report writing: </strong></p><ul><li>Conduct primary and secondary research on global wind supply chain price trends, technologies, business models, market developments and financial impacts</li><li>Lead and contribute to the research publications including but not limited to: Wind Turbine Technology Trends, Wind Turbine Supply Chain Trends, Wind Turbine OEMs Market Shares</li><li>Ensure all deliverables are executed and delivered in a timely fashion to a high standard</li></ul><p><strong>Data Analysis: </strong></p><ul><li>Monitor and maintain relevant data for the supply and technology segments, including costs, technology trends, supply chain and the competitive landscape</li><li>Develop, update and maintain global wind supply chain databases</li><li>Update and maintain wind turbine technology databases</li><li>Develop supply chain costing models and deduce the capex for wind assets</li><li>Ensure the data quality and accuracy is continuously improved </li></ul><p><strong>Networking and Industry collaboration  </strong></p><ul><li>Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the industry and clients</li><li>Establish an industry presence as an influential speaker and thinker; build relationships with senior industry professionals –wind project developers and EPCs, turbine OEMs, component suppliers and raw material suppliers as well as with the journalists who cover the sector; and participate in vendor briefings and press inquiries as necessary</li></ul><p><strong>Consulting engagement</strong></p><ul><li>Support and lead specific consulting assignments on wind supply chain and technology</li></ul><p><strong>Business Development</strong></p><ul><li>Work directly with sales and marketing via internal and external communications to actively help generate new sales, build larger programs for existing clients, and effectively market completed research</li><li>Present at WoodMac and industry-spon
