Upward Bound Tutor Secondary Education (Grades 9-12)

Description

1. Part-time tutors must have knowledge of the subject they are applying for and be able to assist students with high school courses including, but not limited to:

• Math: Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus
• Science: Biology, Anatomy, Chemistry, Physics, Earth & Space  
• Spanish: Spanish Levels 1-4, Reading, Writing

2. Facilitate active tutoring sessions which include, but are not limited to: asking questions, drawing diagrams, creating flashcards, developing outlines, and encouraging reading.

3. Create and participate in ACT/SAT preparation, current Event Discussions, and workshops.

4. Available to work at least two days a week at Woodward High School or Waite High School during afternoon tutoring.

Requirements

Must have knowledge of the subject you are applying for and be able to assist students with high school courses.

6 hours per week and to be able to work the following schedule:

Schedule

Part-time Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 3:00-5:00 PM (Woodward)

Part-time Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 3:00-5:00 PM (Waite)
