WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide strategic communications direction to ExxonMobil business lines, including Business Support Centers, leadership and corporate functions.
- Ensure integration/alignment of internal and external communication plans with overall corporate strategic goals.
- Establish, build, and nurture a strong network of relationships with the ExxonMobil global communicators, with a focus on Europe and Africa.
- Help lead and develop communications for the Europe and Africa regions.
- Build relationships of trust and confidence with senior-level ExxonMobil leaders. Understand various executive leadership communications styles and be able to to adopt leaders voices into publications, social media, and other executive communications.
- Plan and execute employee communications across various ExxonMobil internal channels.
- Support global ExxonMobil initiatives through communications strategy tailored to global affiliates, with a focus on Europe and Africa.
- Provide communications support to the Hungary and Namibia affiliates.
WHAT ROLE YOU WILL PLAY IN OUR TEAM:
The Global Communications Advisor serves as a communications advisor for internal and external communications on the Global Country Communications team, with a focus on support for the Europe and Africa regions. Focused on ExxonMobil’s strategic objectives, they are a leader, and an integral part of the global communications team, working collaboratively and creatively to ensure ExxonMobil employees, milestones, facilities, and initiatives are communicated efficiently and effectively to all audiences.
The advisor will help develop and deploy communications, including branding and marketing communications, and social media materials in an integrated fashion, working with other members of the Global Communications team to identify new, and innovative ways to clearly and effective deliver key messages.
Additionally, they will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies and tactics for senior leadership to drive greater employee pride and engagement, and awareness of business activities around Europe and Africa.
The advisor will also provide communications support to the Hungary affiliate in Europe and Namibia affiliate in Africa.
The advisor will plan, strategize and coordinate internal and external communications efforts and must work collaboratively with business leads and regional communication leads to communicate ExxonMobil’s goals.
This person should be ready to adapt quickly to fast-paced environment and a highly-capable team of professionals. They should contribute immediately with new ideas and demonstrate care, compassion, leadership, resilience and a continual pursuit of excellence.
The position is based in Budapest, Hungary.
ABOUT YOU: SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree minimum in journalism, communications, public relations, political science, English, literature, or classics preferred; advanced degree in policy-related or communication-related discipline also advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience, including integrated communications, media relations, journalism, editorial writing, or related areas.
