The Job:
Stanley’s Global Engineering and Property Services team is currently seeking a Global Workplace Strategist Senior Manager to oversee an integrated service offering that creates memorable experiences within our offices that positively impacts how the workplace is experienced by employees and guests. Reporting into the Sr Director, Global CAPEX, this strategic leader will be responsible for not only strategic planning but also the overall employee & guest experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguous transformation environments and possesses world class leadership and consensus building skills amongst the technical facilities management arena.
The Global Engineering and Services organization is responsible for Real Estate, Facilities, Maintenance and Repair of Building and production equipment, Capital planning and projects as well as Energy Management for the Company. - Develop processes that align the work environment and practices with organizational business goals and objectives at local, regional, and global levels.
- Real estate and workplace solutions may include development of portfolio consolidation strategies, workplace standards or programs, and project execution across the corporate portfolio.
- Real estate strategic planning support: assist transaction team in management of the real estate portfolio.
- Analyze, anticipate, plan real estate changes, and work with internal stakeholders to identify optimal recommendations/decisions.
- Report periodically with business units on portfolio performance, pipeline, transaction, and project activities, and collect insights on future activities/needs.
- Proactively review the portfolio on a regular basis and identify opportunities linked to market conditions, options, etc.
- Real estate & facilities data management support: Identify and validate existing organizational requirements and workplace needs including utilization, growth forecasting, specialized requirements, head and seat counts, and employee requirements.
- Measure and analyze workplace effectiveness through discussions, site observations, workplace surveys, space utilization and benchmarking studies.
- Identify workstyles and workplace barriers to productivity.
- Identify opportunities to reduce occupancy costs and operating costs through alternative workplace strategies and portfolio consolidation strategies.
- Change management support: Work with business leaders to develop compelling business cases for changes within the workplace.
- Develop preliminary workplace redesign concepts and program requirements based on strategic portfolio and workplace analytics.
- Provide recommendations specific to finish / product specification selection, FF&E, technologies, and other infrastructure related to workplace.
- Research industry workplace benchmark data to gauge competitiveness of Stanley Black & Decker's workplace metrics (i.e., cost, size, efficiency, productivity).
- Stay current with emerging trends and insights related to future of work, workplace strategy and design, and best practices.
- Communication and presentation support: Develop presentations and associated collateral to effectively communicate findings related to corporate workplace strategy.
- Responsible for all aspects of space management and occupancy planning, including coordinating meetings, conducting reviews, compiling summaries and reports, tracking KPIs, creating occupancy plans, providing support to clients, and ensuring accurate database management.
- Across all integrated services, provide tactical planning, relationship management, and executing upon innovation and continuous improvement opportunities.
