The primary role of the Production Manager is to ensure a consistent and efficient manufacturing process through directing the activities of production equipment and employees.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:


Lead by example and enforce safety guidelines and other company standards.
Ensure all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are adhered to by production employees. 
Ensure 100% accuracy of product blends and packaging according to internal and customer specifications and standards. 
Meet daily production targets while operating within budget.
Work closely with the Quality Systems Manager to comply with regulatory and 3rd party auditing agencies. 
Lead continuous improvement efforts related to 5S, product yield, waste, process improvement, labor, other production metrics.
Interview, train, and monitor performance of production employees and provide feedback, coaching, and disciplinary actions as appropriate. 
Comply with employment law and human resources policies.

QualificationsQualifications:

To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:


3-4 years’ experience as a Production Supervisor or Manager in a food & beverage facility
Experience using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and Lean Manufacturing is a plus
Willingness and ability to arrive early or stay late as required to meet deadlines
Organizational and leadership abilities; strong communication and interpersonal skills
Advanced skills in MS Office
Problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
High school diploma; degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field a plus
