About the Role
TailorCare’s product team is growing, and we are excited to open our first patient-focused Product Manager role. The ideal candidate is passionate about impacting patients’ musculoskeletal care and is eager to join a growing team in an emerging space. They would couple consumer-facing healthcare experience with a product growth mindset to play a key role in foreseeing patient needs and ultimately delivering on the patient outcomes related to our company vision. This role is responsible for spearheading the definition and delivery of advanced product strategy in TailorCare’s patient-focused suite of products.
A Product Manager at TailorCare is expected to drive innovation, market competitiveness, and overall product success by leveraging industry knowledge, a strategic mindset, advanced analytical capabilities, and strong collaboration with internal SMEs and colleagues. This role will work closely with many internal teams, namely Product Design, Engineering, Clinical Operations, Marketing, and Data Operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Insight and Analysis
- Lead comprehensive market and user research initiatives to identify customer needs, market opportunities, and trends, ensuring a competitive edge with our patient-facing products.
- Leverage data tools and usage metrics to identify and prioritize product improvements, and to fulfill downstream reporting product needs.
- Work closely with our Clinical Operations and Data Operations teams to identify and prioritize opportunities.
Strategic Ownership
- Lead the patient-focused product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with company vision and goals.
- Speak to our patients and learn their pain points. Aiming to become their advocate throughout requirement gathering, while also being pragmatic with our commitments.
- Drive the conceptualization, development, and launch of innovative patient-facing products and features.
- Articulate ideas, values, and feedback clearly, ensuring alignment and understanding across internal and external stakeholders.
Product Development and launch
- Collaborate closely with internal TailorCare teams to enable product design and development, ensuring timely high-quality, outcome-focused deliveries.
- Develop launch plans for new products and features and continuously gather feedback to refine and improve product offerings.
- Provide internal thought leadership and education on new and existing products, facilitating knowledge sharing, product evangelism, and team alignment.
Key Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years in consumer products. Patient-facing Growth PM experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology management, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Passion for our mission and/or experience in shipping software for social impact.
- Demonstrated experience in leading product strategies from initial hypothesis through MVP and driving continual product innovations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking skills. Can discern the essence of complex issues and draw comprehensive solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to drive the realization and desired outcomes concerning long-term organizational goals.
- Presents compelling ideas with supporting rationale. Displays excellent communication skills and is naturally gifted at building consensus.
- Displays creativity and insight, foreseeing industry and patient trends and incorporating them into our product planning processes.
