Description

Mackin Educational Resources is a 40- year-old Minnesota-based company known nationally for distributing print and digital content, makerspace products, professional learning solutions, and MackinVision LMS to K-12 schools, classrooms, and districts across the United States and worldwide. 

We are looking for a qualified, energetic, and motivated sales and customer service representative to add to our growing team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct both in-person and virtual demonstrations of MackinVision for customers, including at library conferences across the U.S.
• Collaborate with software development teams to manage ongoing improvements and adjustments.
• Develop and deliver training programs, customer support, and communication materials, such as videos and webinars.
• Create content for presentations and marketing materials.
• Contact current and prospective customers and promote products and services effectively.
• Uphold and promote Mackin's positive image at all times.

Duties will include but not be limited to: 

• Provide training and assistance to both new and existing customers through various channels, including in-person, phone, email, live chat, and webinars.
• Use remote access software for support session
• Read and assimilate all software release notes and/or announcements to stay current with changes in the MackinVision Library application and supporting technologies.
• Remain updated on software changes, training materials, and value-add products.
• Contact prospective customers and effectively communicate MackinVision services 
• Identify customer needs, develop customized services, establish relationships, and drive sales through effective communication and lead follow-up.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of library practices, educational systems, and the principles of excellent customer service.
• Ability to market MackinVision effectively, meet sales goals, and deliver persuasive presentations both in-person and remotely.
• Understanding of the principles and processes for providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to learn, develop product knowledge, and react quickly.
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills that will result in high closure rates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to work well within a team environment.
• A willingness to travel and adapt to varying work hours as needed.

Education & Experience

• Knowledge of PK-12 education industry. 
• Familiarity or affinity with the education and/or library arenas. 
• Professional presentation skills.
• Minimum 4-year college degree, master’s degree in library or education preferred.

Wages

• Negotiable, depending on education and experience
