The position is onsite.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, operations, troubleshooting, and optimizing of Microsoft Exchange server infrastructure.
Monitor, document, and report on system utilization and capacity
Resolve escalated email routing, connectivity, permissions, and filtering support issues
Document processes and procedures and train others
Monitor backups and perform periodic test restores
Performs break/fix troubleshooting, server/software updates and feature enhancements to MS Exchange and Exchange servers, as well as general IT Windows infrastructure.
Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements Exchange related components, software tools and utilities
Ensures that system improvements and patches are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency
Generates systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures
Requires specialized Exchange expertise and general knowledge of related areas
Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions
Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
May lead functional teams or projects
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant Microsoft Exchange experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server technologies, including on-premise
Deep understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
Experience with Exchange server upgrades, migrations, and deployments
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of email security technologies, such as email content filtering
CASP+ certification within 6 months of hire
DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification within 6 mon
