This role is primarily On-Site, with flexibility at hiring manager discretion.

Applied Signal Technology (AST) is looking for a Senior Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) Engineer to join our top-tier Engineering team and play a key role in driving our mission forward. What You Will Do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and define system requirements

• Plan, coordinate, and execute system integration and testing activities

• Develop and maintain system architecture and design documentation

• Work autonomously yet collaboratively in a team environment

• Travel up to 25%

Qualifications You Must Have 

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience

• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in Systems Engineering including experience with design, development and testing of custom hardware and software systems of high complexity

• Experience creating detailed test plans, procedures, and reports to ensure system functionality and performance meet specifications

• Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues identified during integration and testing phases

• Experience working with customers, end users, hardware design teams, and software design teams

• Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain polygraph prior to start.

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer​

• Experience with or basic understanding of telecommunications systems concepts and/or signal processing

• Experience with automated system deployments

• Experience with enterprise grade storage equipment

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerized systems

• Experience with User Interface development

• Experience with object-oriented programming languages

• Desired Education: Master of Science (MS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a STEM related field.
