The Job Details:
As a Senior Logistics Analyst, you’ll play a key role in driving operational efficiency and strategic decision-making through advanced data analysis and visualization. This position supports both internal performance monitoring and customer-facing logistics initiatives by developing KPIs, preparing financial reports, and using tools like Tableau and Power BI to deliver actionable insights. You'll work cross-functionally on transportation modeling, cost analysis, and continuous improvement efforts, while also mentoring co-op analysts and supporting business development through rate analysis and optimization. This is a highly visible, impactful role for an analytical professional ready to support innovation and service in the cold chain industry.
Responsibilities:
- Internal analytics of operational and financial performance; identify key trends and areas of opportunity
- KPI reporting for internal and external use
- Prepare accrual reports and assist with month end financial reporting
- Use Tableau to create live visual analytics for forecasting and decision making.
- Assistance with rate quotation analysis and development; help ensure standards of presenting and quoting rates are in place throughout all area programs.
- On-going analysis of fixed rate profitability and management of increase schedules.
- Oversight of department co-op program including hiring, training, coaching and delegation of work
- Work with non-CSC plants that need ad-hoc transportation support ranging from establishing and preparing transportation rates to developing a carrier base to support new/specialized programs.
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives: Analyze existing business and work through TMs and Local Management to formulate strategic transportation/logistics recommendations that will enhance USCS Customer’s business and strengthen USCS/Customer relationships.
- Support business development efforts by participating in the direct sales process as needed.
- Work with USCS Business Development and local management to qualify needs for study on a case-by-case basis.
- Identifying various rules and assumptions specific to customer requirements and determine USCS system constraints to ensure accuracy of output.
- Obtain data from customers in the required format and detail for the model.
- Optimize data through USCS optimizer: prepare data, input files through optimizer considering multiple scenarios, follow post optimization steps including cost allocation and order rating, analyze output and prepare proposal for customer.
- Ensure data accuracy through various testing methods against actual data.
- Perform impact on program analysis.
- Work with the Logistics Managers to continue to refine the model and improve output relative to customer needs.
- Assist in various testing functions as needed/required by development team.
- Assembling various operations summaries and cost analysis reports for management and to be included in the monthly company-wide metrics reports.
- Support of any TMS integration, testing, training and development efforts.

What We Are Looking For:
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics or Business Analytics.
Experience:
- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in analytics.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, SQL.
- Knowledge of Mercury Gate a plus.
