It is where thousands of communities come together for whatever, every day.
We’re about community, inside and out. You’ll find coworkers who are eager to team up, collaborate, and smash (or elegantly solve) problems together. We’re on a quest to empower live communities, so if this sounds good to you, see what we’re up to on LinkedIn and X, and discover the projects we’re solving on our Blog. Be sure to explore our Interviewing Guide to learn how to ace our interview process.

About the Role

Ads on Twitch aren't like ads anywhere else. They happen live, in front of communities that are actively engaged and they directly fund the creators those communities love. This is a genuinely unsolved problem: you won't be optimizing a mature system, you'll be defining what the next generation of live-stream advertising looks like.

We're looking for an engineering leader to run multiple teams building ad experiences that feel native to live streaming. You'll own the technical vision for how ads work on Twitch and lead the org to ship it. Your work will have direct revenue impact and visibility to senior leadership - it shows up on the P&L. The org is at a stage where your leadership decisions will shape its culture for years, and you'll work alongside strong cross-functional partners who care deeply about creators.

This role demands someone who can formulate intuition and opinions grounded in first-principles understanding, not just pattern-matching from past playbooks. You'll navigate both technical and product ambiguity simultaneously, leading entirely autonomously rather than relying on a hierarchy to set direction. This is a very fast-paced environment where leading teams to results and delivering resounding impact is the expectation.

You can work in San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA.

You Will

- Own the engineering strategy for ad products across multiple teams
- Make real architectural calls - we're actively evolving how ads are served, targeted, and measured in a live-streaming context
- Build and develop your managers, and foster a culture of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics
- Partner with product, sales, and operations to balance advertiser needs with viewer and creator experience
- Set quality and velocity standards grounded in data

Perks
- Medical, Dental, Vision & Disability Insurance
- 401(k)
- Maternity & Parental Leave
- Flexible PTO
- Amazon Employee Discount
