Joining this team means more than taking a job—it means helping shape the future of emergency response and building a safer, more connected world.</p> <h3>Position Overview</h3> <p>We're hiring a <strong>Senior Backend Engineer</strong> to join Prepared's Assistive Dispatch team, focused on building systems that ingest, process, and analyze real-time radio communications for 911 centers.</p> <p>This role sits at the intersection of <strong>backend engineering and edge computing</strong>, helping bridge physical dispatch center infrastructure with our cloud platform. You’ll work on a fast-growing, early-stage product with real customer demand, tackling complex integration challenges across diverse hardware and network environments.</p> <p>This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who enjoys working across the stack — from <strong>device-level systems to cloud services</strong> — and thrives in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.</p> <p>This is a <strong>hybrid role</strong>, with an expectation of four days per week in our Manhattan office.</p> <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li>Build and scale systems that ingest and process real-time radio traffic from dispatch centers</li> <li>Develop software that runs on both edge devices (on-prem hardware) and cloud backend systems</li> <li>Design and implement integration pipelines across a wide variety of hardware and network configurations</li> <li>Help standardize and scale device-to-cloud data flows across multiple integration paths</li> <li>Debug and support deployments in real

For this role, we require three days per week in our NY office.</strong></p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>EDO is building the standard for measuring advertising effectiveness across TV and streaming. As a Backend Engineering Manager, you'll lead a team of 5 engineers building Ad EnGage, the data pipeline at the heart of that mission, processing petabytes of TV recordings and billions of rows of engagement data so advertisers can make critical decisions about their advertising strategy. You'll stay close to the code using a stack built on AWS, Python, Ruby, MySQL, and Snowflake, and work with the team to ensure the reliability and scale of the whole system.</p> <p><strong>What You Will Do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Be a hands-on manager of a team of 5; act as a player-coach; stay close to the details of project work while supporting your team members as full owners, amplifying the impact of their work</li> <li>Lead cross-functional development of complex new features and capabilities, coordinating across the Data Science, Infrastructure, Front End, and Data Quality teams</li> <li>Elevate a team of driven engineers, mentoring them through their next phase of technical and professional growth</li> <li>Solve backend engineering challenges at the intersection of massive datasets, demanding product requirements, and the need for automation and scalability</li> <li>Drive high operational and data quality standards for our pipelines</li> <li>Recruit and evaluate backend engineers, including participating in technical interviews and making hiring decisions</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We Are Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>A minimum of 6 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years of backend engineering experience and at least 2 years of exp
