Job Title: Web and Operations Assistant, Center for Teaching and Learning (Work Study)

Supervisor: Sarah Schoonhoven

Purpose

The individual will report to the Assistant Director for Strategic Events and Programs at the Center for Teaching and Learning. The Web and Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting the Assistant Director in the upkeep and creation of digital program assets including website directories, Canvas courses, relational databases, and client tracking systems. This position will be a member of the CTL Operations Team comprised of both full-time and student staff members.

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain Early Career Teaching Connections Canvas resource and digital badge tracker, including annual partner updates and periodic checks for accuracy:

  • Support operations team in logistical elements of Texas Teach-Up event, including course nominations and sign-ups:

  • Enter CRM information for large-scale CTL events and programs:

  • Maintain the Provost’s Teaching Fellows (PTF) website, including directories, calendar events, and news posts:

  • Maintain upkeep of PTF Airtable base, and other Airtable bases as needed:

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Regularly enrolled student with work study eligibility

  • Experience editing and/or designing website pages in Drupal or similar platforms

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage time and deadline expectations

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

  • Demonstrated experience problem solving and critical thinking

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with university faculty and/or upper administrative staff

  • Experience building or editing courses in UT Canvas

  • Strong skills with programs including: Airtable, Microsoft Office suite, Google Drive/G Suite, UT Box

  • Experience with basic graphic design platforms, such as Canva

Salary Range

$19.00 per hour

Working Conditions

  • Employment Period: Spring/Summer 2026 semesters; potential for 26/27 continuation

  • Work study required
