The Indirect Channel Trainer & LMS Curriculum Manager will lead the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs for our global indirect sales channels, distribution partners, and associated commercial teams. This role combines instructional design expertise, engaging facilitation skills, and technical proficiency in Learning Management System (LMS) administration.
Key Responsibilities
Training Design & Delivery – Indirect Channels
- Develop and deliver engaging, role-based training for distributors, resellers, and channel partners, covering product knowledge, solution selling, commercial process, and customer engagement best practices.
- Conduct virtual and in-person training sessions, adapting delivery style to diverse audiences and cultural contexts.
- Partner with Business Partner Managers, Regional Sales Leaders, and Marketing to ensure training supports go-to-market strategy and product launches.
- Localize and adapt content for specific geographies, working with translation vendors or internal resources.
Curriculum Development & Instructional Design
- Design comprehensive learning pathways for indirect channels, ensuring progressive skill development from onboarding to advanced capability.
- Leverage adult learning principles, blended learning approaches, and scenario-based training to drive engagement and retention.
- Partner with Product Management and Service teams to ensure technical and commercial training content is accurate, current, and impactful.
LMS Ownership & Content Management
- Serve as global administrator for the company’s LMS platform, managing user access, course assignments, content uploads, and reporting.
- Create and maintain a structured curriculum catalog for indirect channels, integrating product training, sales methodology, compliance, and enablement resources.
- Track completion rates, assessment scores, and certification renewals, providing reporting to leadership.
- Optimize LMS workflows and user experience in collaboration with IT and platform vendors.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Enablement Strategy
- Align training priorities with global and regional business objectives, reporting on progress and impact.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Training & Enablement function and indirect channel stakeholders.
- Support global initiatives such as sales methodology adoption, new product introductions, and commercial process rollouts.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Establish KPIs for training effectiveness, including knowledge retention, application in the field, and impact on channel performance.
- Gather participant feedback, evaluate learning analytics, and continuously refine content and delivery.
- Identify gaps in partner readiness and propose targeted interventions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or related field; Master’s degree a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in sales training, enablement, or instructional design, preferably in MedTech, diagnostics, or a related B2B industry.
- Proven track record managing LMS platforms (e.g., BigTinCan, Seismic Learning, Cornerstone, etc.).
- Experience training indirect channels or distribution partners strongly preferred.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with ability to engage audiences across cultures and languages.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate, etc.) a plus.
