Wage: Hourly, commensurate with skills

 

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Training and Data Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring the application of Newcomb and Company’s technical training and safety compliance programs.  

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct new hire training for all Newcomb and Company employees.
  • Ensure all equipment operators possess required training and certification.
  • Coordinate training with vendors.
  • Maintain the LMS database by adding and deleting employees and updating new certifications.
  • Create and maintain an annual training calendar, as required.
  • Schedule dates for necessary training.
  • Work with General Managers and Superintendents to fill the training schedule.
  • Send training notifications and reminders to departments.
  • Respond to requests for training certifications and create in-house certifications.
  • Create training certification status reports for General Managers and Superintendents.
  • Present reports to executive and middle managers.
  • Track Newcomb and Company’s Apprenticeship and Junior Mechanic certification program in cooperation with business partners and other EMCOR companies.
  • Track EPA Section 608 and NATE Certification Testing.

 

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support New Hire Onboarding by making compliance training assignments.
  • Coordinate event space for training sessions.
  • Submit expense reports as needed.
  • Perform other administrative duties and tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • College Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • HVAC experience preferred, but not required.
  • Proven experience in data management.
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365, specifically including Power BI, Advanced Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience sourcing products and vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with strong process management abilities.
  • Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible and able to perform well in a comfortable work environment with little direct supervision.
  • Adaptable to a variety of leadership styles.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, reach, stoop, and kneel.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision due to computer work.
  • Light to moderate lifting is required.
  • Moderate noise.
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
