As our next Systems Specialty Engineer Co-Op, you'll immerse yourself in the intricacies to support a team that produces products that are vital to national defense.
You do not have to have previous experience; we will provide the training and tools to help grow the skills you will need. You will learn from the best and brightest in the communications and nuclear deterrence domain. This position is located in Richardson, TX.
Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
What You Will Do:
Create, decompose, and trace systems specialty requirements for communications systems on military platforms, both air and ground applications
Work alongside industry leading Systems Specialty engineers to support Reliability, Maintainability, System Safety, and/or Human Factors engineering analyses
Support multiple phases of the system engineering life cycle
What You Will Learn:
How to evaluate Reliability, Maintainability, System Safety, and/or Human Factors engineering requirements
How to implement various military standards against complex aerospace communication systems
How to successfully be part of integrated project teams that work across disciplines
Qualifications You Must Have:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
U.S. citizenship is required
Active Secret DOD clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
Engineering graduates with a high level of understanding of both hardware and software design concepts, especially, as they pertain to communications solutions
High level understanding of communication theory, networking, and/or digital processing
Experience working in a highly collaborative technical environment
Knowledge systems engineering life cycle
Excellent verbal, documentation, and writing skills
