Systems & Network Admin II

Overview:

SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Systems & Network Admin II. As the Systems & Network Admin II, you will provide expertise in the area of Systems & Network Administration. You will be responsible for multiple facets and regulated measures of network and system reliability to safeguard our employees, processes, services and data.

 What you’d be doing:

• Perform configuration, upgrades, installation, monitoring, log review, analysis, maintenance and support of network core infrastructure at local and remote locations; including, but not limited to switches, routers, wireless, firewalls, VPN
• Support compliance with security and best practices; including but not limited to security audits, investigations, remediation and reporting of security incidents
• Maintain inventory, diagrams and documentation of all aspects of local and remote locations’ network infrastructure
• Evaluation, testing and implementation of new network devices and services including both software and hardware products
• The ability to program scripts to run internal functions
• Escalation to third party provider support including ISP’s
• Provide Tier 3 technical support for all corporate networks, systems, applications
• Assist the IT Service desk and other Internal IT teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
• Configuration, installation, and support of virtual server infrastructure
• Support Entra ID, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other domain service functions
• Support in administering Microsoft 365 services, applications and platforms
• Administer, configure and maintain software patching systems and services
• Provide recommendations and/or participate in system and local network architecture and design
• Collaborate with IT teams to define and develop documented policies, procedures, and processes such as operational run books and system monitoring
• Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups
• Configuration, installation, support, and maintenance of various IT management software, services and platforms
• Train other employees on how to use systems properly and ensure the system’s business as usual operations
• Other project work as assigned 

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Bachelor’s degree and or 5-7 years equivalent work experience
• Professional level understanding of VPNs as well as real world implementation and troubleshooting experience
• Professional level understanding of network packet analysis
• Expert level managing OPNSense firewalls
• Expert level with Ubiquiti Unifi networking infrastructure
• Advanced troubleshooting, networking and hardware skills
• Knowledge and skills supporting and administering virtual environments, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 services
• Experience managing Windows Server and Desktop operating systems in a networked environment
• Ability to create scripts in PowerShell or other languages
• Experience in building and configuring AWS Workspaces, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Windows 365
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

 

Highly preferred candidates also have:

• CompTIA's Security+, Network+
• Microsoft 365 Administration
