Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.As the Systems Engineering Lead and Site Lead you will join our Field Engineering team as a Site Lead for the Centralized Field Engineering organization. In this role, you will provide operational support for the United States Air Force worldwide deployable program. Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
This CONUS Mission Essential (ME) role will be Onsite (Beale AFB, CA).
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Perform product implementation, modifications, and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.
- Create teamwork schedules, contribute to reporting requirements, and provide inputs to financial forecasts.
- Ensure team remains focused and on task while supporting the customer’s mission and initiatives.
- Ensure team training requirements (customer and company) are kept up to date and completed ahead of schedule.
- Provide annual team performance evaluations.
- Monitor, analyze and characterize the performance of complex data processing systems.
- Isolated faults – Trace faults and distinguish between hardware and software fault sources.
- Recommend, initiate, and oversee actions to correct faults.
- Maintain sensor equipment on aircraft.
- Provide support on the U.S. Air Force flight-line to operate and conduct pre-mission activities.
- Provide support for aircraft checkout prior to flights.
- Integrate and updated software and hardware.
- Work with a diverse team of users, analysts, and other contractor personnel, and customers.
- Attend customer planning meetings and interact with several agencies on different levels on leadership and provide input that will affect all program sites worldwide.
- Provide hands-on support on all contract ancillary duties required by the customer, even the programs provided by the customer at other locations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of relevant experience; or 15+ years of relevant experience or a combination of experience, education, and training / military will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience with military, data processing, system administration, radar, IR or radio frequency.
- Experience and expertise in sensor payload maintenance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. Air Force Flight line courtesies and regulations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Solaris.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience leading a team of engineers.
- Experience with aircraft maintenance and flight line.
- Experience / knowledge using Military Equipment accounts and Integrated Maintenance Data Systems (IMDS).
- Experience working with SAR imagery and knowledge of RADAR theory.
- Effective oral and written communication abilities.
Special Work Circumstances:
- Working rotating shifts is required.
- Travel and long working hours are anticipated.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds and able to sit/stand for long periods of time.
- Must be willing and able to get all inoculations required by the US military.
- Must be able and ready to deploy anywhere in the world at a moment’s notice.
- Must be willing and able to deploy to environments that may include harsh living conditions (extreme heat and cold, deployed living conditions, etc.).
- Must be able to communicate clearly to customer leadership and provide feedback on system performance and contract requirements of all sites on a periodic basis.
- Beale AFB is a unique site that has very different support expectations from the customer. Working here is different from any other site and can be challenging at times.
