The Brydon Group is a private equity firm that combines the best of private equity and small business acquisitions through Entrepreneurship through Acquisition (ETA). Brydon partners with a group of five to seven CEOs-in-Residence (CIRs) each year to search for, acquire and operate businesses.
Brydon’s three partners have had multi-decade experience in large cap private equity (Blackstone, Carlyle), multiple successful exits in software, and extensive public service backgrounds. We are passionate about helping our fellows learn more about private equity and develop their abilities and judgment as both investors and operators.
This unique fellowship is perfect for an MBA student interested in private equity investing and PE operations. In this role, you will gain experience sourcing and evaluating deals, conducting due diligence, and networking with top private equity investors and operators.
We are looking for MBA fellow(s) to:
- Conduct research on specific industry theses and topics
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies
- Evaluate active deals, including supporting due diligence, developing deal memos, etc.
- Attend internal Brydon weekly meetings and get exposure to a variety of industries and small business leaders
- Produce educational materials and coordinate events in the private equity space
- Help develop and implement operating systems to support new CEOs post-acquisition
Requirements
Ideal background:
- Current MBA student (open to 1st and 2nd years)
- Passion and interest in private equity (both finance and operations) and small business
- Strong PowerPoint and research skills, with ability to quickly synthesize key information
- Experience or interest in core Brydon industry areas: B2B, B2G, & healthcare software and services
- Bonus points if you have previous background in consulting, investment banking, or private equity
