Clinical Pharmacology:

We are looking for talented, highly motivated university students for our global clinical pharmacology department to participate in pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, and pharmacometrics analysis of clinical trial data to understand the relationship between exposure and variation and response to therapeutic intervention with a goal to improve clinical outcome/response success rates.

This position is a paid, temporary internship eligible to college students within a commutable distance of Princeton, NJ. This role is a hybrid role with 2-3 days on site preferred. This role is open to Pharm D students or 4th year PhD students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a sound understanding and application of global regulatory guidance (e.g., FDA, EMA, PMDA, etc.) that are essential in designing drug development strategy.
  • Understand various types of clinical pharmacology studies and study designs for clinical pharmacology studies.
  • Understand/analyze clinical pharmacology study results and learn to interpret the results.
  • Learn/understand how model informed drug development enhances dose selection and drug development.
  • Participate in global clinical pharmacology and US clinical pharmacology meetings. Collaborate with colleagues in US and Japan.
  • Undertake a review of literature to find solutions to scientific challenges/to design clinical trial/project strategies.
  • Willing to learn software(s) that is (are) used in clinical pharmacology. Present at department level on topics learnt or projects/tasks completed.
  • Manage data transfer, QC, and data reconciliation activities with vendors and CRO’s as appropriate.
  • Intern will receive dedicated mentorship on projects and skills.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • This position requires candidates to be a college/university student pursuing a degree in the field of Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science, Molecular Biology, Biostatistics, or similar.
  • Experience in bioinformatics, data analysis, and/or cancer research preferred.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of pharmacology, molecular biology, statistics, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics.
  • Writing codes, working with clinical data, and visualization of plots.
  • Experienced in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office applications. Proficiency in R is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and shows initiative in contributing to assigned tasks.
  • Ability to perform MEDLINE and EMBASE literature searches.
  • Fast learner and able to grasp new concepts and ideas quickly.
  • Interns are required to be able to work from May 27th, 2025, to August 15th, 2025.
  • The ability to work a hybrid schedule is required.
  • Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Candidates must live within a commutable distance to Princeton, NJ.
  • This position requires that candidates be able to work in the United States on a permanent and ongoing basis without sponsorship.
