Position Details

The Gameday Operations Department is seeking students interested in pursuing a career in event management or other similarly related fields to fill positions for our student assistant program.

Successful candidates will work in collaboration with other student assistants and security personnel as well as under the direction of the Event Management full-time staff.

 

Student Assistants will be tasked with executing game day set-up, game day responsibilities at the direction of their game day operations department supervisor and other duties as assigned. Every student will be required to work at least 5 home football games. Also, each student will have the opportunity work at all the Ole Miss Sports Events.

 

A desired interest to work in the sports industry is appreciated, but not necessary; however, the successful candidate will be highly motivated to represent Ole Miss Athletics. Time management skills are assumed qualities of every successful candidate as is a willingness to perform required manual labor which may include lifting, carrying, long periods of standing and walking, and other duties as assigned. Candidates should be aware of the urgency of certain projects and the importance that their deadlines are met. Candidates should be comfortable in front of large crowds and be able to communicate effectively with the public and follow through with minimal direction.
