The Focus:
This role is expected to perform analysis and drive business implications independently with minimum guidance. Such analysis include (but are not limited to) benchmarking, total cost of ownership, RFP responses analysis, cost saving, etc. Preparing and presenting sourcing recommendations and strategic initiatives, using data visualization techniques will be a key part of the role.

How you will contribute:
- Conduct regular detailed spend analysis to identify trends and opportunities by category, subcategory, business unit and geography, or as required
- Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, risks and cost-saving opportunities in sourcing strategies across various categories
- Conduct market research and benchmarking analysis to evaluate potential suppliers, track market trends, and identify emerging opportunities for strategic partnerships
- Perform required contract management activities, including processing amendments, monitoring expiration dates, updating supporting documentation, etc.
- Communication and management of relationship with external suppliers and partners at the relevant seniority levels as part of sourcing processes, for example, scheduling of supplier negotiation meetings, etc.
- Supporting organization-wide procedures for governance, risk and compliance management that manage, mitigate and minimize risks to Sunlife and its clients and partners
- Preparation of relevant data to enable tracking of management information and KPIs such as category savings, procurement timescale SLAs
- Ownership of elements of the sourcing process, under the guidance of the relevant Stakeholder. This may include identification of potential suppliers, market research, production of tender documentation, management of RFx timelines, supplier evaluation, and support of negotiations
- Acquiring, maintaining and developing expertise, knowledge and information to support continuous improvement in allocated category(ies) from relevant internal and external sources
What you will bring with you:
- 3+ years experience in Consulting or Financial Services; Procurement experience is a plus
