The Front Range Operations and Sustainment Team (FROST) is seeking a Staff System Engineer Architect to fill the FROST Network Architect position. This key leadership role will be a direct report to the FROST Engineering Lead and is responsible to support and lead elements of the technical strategy to elevate technical excellence across this Systems Engineering (SE) sub-discipline.

This position supports the Space Systems business division through an IWO with Defense Systems.  The work is solely performed on the customer site, Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

Ability to travel as needed (approx. 10%)

This is a Part-Time position. The salary range is based on a full-time schedule and will be prorated to the extent the schedule is reduced.

In this role, you will contribute as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in System Architecture practices to guide and support this key discipline.  The individual must possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communications skills and effective problem-solving capabilities. This candidate will serve as a technical SME and integrator working closely to unite a shared set of tools, processes, and practices within the discipline to ensure a consistent, cohesive, and collaborative approach across all work centers within FROST.

Design and develop system architectures and define key capabilities and performance requirements. • Capture analytical tools and workflows (analytical architectures)
• Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings at technical and program reviews and boards.
• Apply extensive technical expertise in the development of technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
• Provide leadership and implement strategic vision and technical priorities for the discipline, aligned to long-term strategy
• Partners with program discipline leads to understanding program critical skill needs and gaps in engineering tools, processes, digital solutions, and technical training
• Lead the development, deployment, and sustainment of new/modified discipline processes with a goal to strengthen technical excellence and workforce capabilities that result in improved business results.
• Lead the development, deployment, and sustainment of discipline tools, ensuring tools are integrated into the discipline processes, support overall digital solutions, are relevant, scalable, and interoperable across programs and associated training material to support effective usage
• Partner with customer and FROST work centers for adoption of tools, processes, digital solutions and training
• Build and sustain a strong discipline Community of Practice (CoP), ensuring alignment strategies and priorities while fostering collaboration across the program
• Contribute technical expertise and process leadership in program reviews, independent technical reviews, program stand-up reviews, and other improvement efforts.
