Job Description
- Configure, harden, and support all enterprise layer 2 and 3 network devices (switches and routers). This includes, but is not limited to, Enterprise Provider Edge Routers (EPE); Area Bridging Switches (ABS); Area Core Switches (ACS); Area Distribution Switches (ADS); Edge Access Switches (EAS), Wireless Controllers, and Wireless Access Points (WAPs).
- Install, configure, support, and troubleshoot converged IP and Multiprotocol Label Switching (IP/MPLS), Multi-Spanning Tree (MST), Domain Naming Service (DNS), Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Media Access Control (MAC), and Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP).
- Support remote access, wireless networking, virtual private networking, circuit provisioning.
- Manage wireless LAN and Computer Services.
- Operate and maintain Wireless Network Infrastructure as part of the installation infrastructure.
Qualifications
6+ years experience in network administration. Bachelor’s degree in a related field desired. Must be Security+ certified. Must hold or be able to obtain a CCNA or an Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP) certification within six months of hire. Extensive experience with network administration in a large and complex classified and unclassified network environment. Expert-level experience with Brocade Network Advisor (BNA), Aruba Airwave Wireless Controller, Cisco Prime, Cisco NS-OX, and Cisco IOS. Experience implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF). Experience in all phases of the engineering lifecycle including: requirements; architecture; design; implementation; testing; and operations and maintenance. Thorough knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls. Able to assess infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions. Able to provide technical guidance and direction to system administrators and help desk technicians. Knowledge of relevant server-side tools and technologies. Experience with network monitoring and management using an automated solution. Solid customer service and communication skills are critical as well as the ability and willingness to communicate effectively and appropriately in an empathetic and understanding manner. Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
