Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager

Summary of Position

As Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing you will be part of a fast-moving and dynamic procurement organization within Teladoc. This is a unique opportunity to help lead a team managing key spend categories. You will be in a highly visible role with direct interface to our executive team and leaders across each of our functional organizations (Finance, Supply Chain, Clinical Operations, Revenue Cycle Management, Product, etc).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead Teladoc’s spend management across a portfolio of key suppliers   
• Build Strategic relationships with Supplier Executive Teams to support Teladoc’s mission     
• Negotiate agreements to meet operational and financial objectives  
• Lead Supplier Management Process (Scorecard, QBR, etc.) for suppliers  
• Lead Monthly, Quarterly, Annual Spend Management reviews   
• Perform market analysis and complete data gathering to develop/ support procurement decisions and strategies.  
• Partner with and influence business partner departments and build successful relationships.  
  Assist business partners as they manage on-going supplier relationships.  
• Lead “should cost” and benchmarking activities to ensure spending is optimized   
• Manage supplier KPI’s for companywide spend and drive Quarter over Quarter Cost reductions. 

The time spent on each responsibility reflects an estimate and is subject to change dependent on business needs.

Qualifications Expected for Position

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.  
• 7+ years of procurement, finance, or supplier management roles.      
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning, and task delegation.  
• Exceptional Negotiator - deep understanding of Sales process and opportunities for leverage.  Be familiar with the 6-step sourcing process.
• Ability to present and interact at executive level (both supplier side and internally).   
• Demonstrated track record of optimizing spend and driving cost down across multiple categories.   
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.   
• Ability to travel across supply base - domestic and international (10%).

• Led implementation of a Business Spend Management process.
• Experience with Medical Device Sourcing Requirements (ISO13485).   
• Certification in Purchasing / Supplier Management (APICS/CPSM).  
• Experience with SaaS Suppliers.
