You’ll oversee the full vendor lifecycle — from category strategy and sourcing through contracting, governance, and performance management — ensuring vendor engagements deliver measurable value, reduce risk, and support long-term business growth. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, strong financial acumen, and the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple levels of the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Stakeholder Partnership: Build strong relationships with executive and senior-level stakeholders to align procurement initiatives with business objectives and operational priorities
  • Negotiation Excellence: Lead complex, high-value negotiations to secure favorable pricing, commercial terms, and SLAs that drive value creation and cost savings
  • Contract Strategy & Governance: Oversee contract development and lifecycle management, ensuring alignment with company policy, regulatory standards, and risk controls
  • Financial & Performance Optimization: Apply advanced financial and analytical modeling to identify savings opportunities, track performance metrics, and continuously improve vendor economics
  • Vendor Risk & Due Diligence: Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Legal to evaluate vendor performance, conduct risk assessments, and manage due diligence and audit readiness
  • Process Improvement & Efficiency: Drive continuous improvement of sourcing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance speed, transparency, and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Team Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to procurement team members, promoting best practices in negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and supplier management

About You

  • 6+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management
  • Proven success leading complex sourcing initiatives and cross-functional negotiations within regulated industries; financial services experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or professional certification (CPSM, CSCP, CPM) strongly preferred; or equivalent work experience
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and executive presentation skills — capable of driving alignment and decisions across senior stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Deep understanding of supplier risk management, contracting principles, and procurement analytics
  • Familiarity with federal regulations impacting financial services (FDCPA, TCPA, OCC, etc.) and experience managing compliance within vendor relationships
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset
