Job Title: Sr Network Operations Engineer

Location: Mountain View, CA (must be willing to work onsite 3 days/week) 

Duration: 18 + Months

Seeking a Senior Wireless Network Engineer with a passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. The Engineer will actively contribute a WiFi6 role out and will be involved in LAN refreshes, switch swaps and creating network dashboards, while working closely with Network Architects, Operations Engineers, and senior leadership to provide top-tier customer service to the business.

This engineer will collaborate with the operations team, with a primary focus on wireless technology, and will need to be present on campus at leave 3x per week

Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Assists with the installation, configuration, upgrades, maintenance, and operation of Network equipment.
• Develops and maintains network standards and operational documentation.
• Create and maintain network configuration, procedural and technical documentation.
• Monitors daily operations of networks and associated components for availability and performance.
• Troubleshoots and resolves network incidents.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Accountability and ownership
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Participate in an on-call Rotation
• Needs to work onsite (Mountain View) between 4 days of the week

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for short periods of time.
• Bachelor’s degree or three or more years of relevant work experience
• Nice to have certifications include: ACMP – Aruba Certified Mobility Professional, CCNP – Wireless, CCNA – Wireless, CWDP – Certified Wireless Design Professional, CWSP – Certified Wireless Security Professional, CWAP – Certified Wireless Analysis Professional, CWNA – Certified Wireless Network Administrator
• Experience in operating network gear from vendors like Cisco, Ruckus, Silver Peak, and Aruba.
• IP, OSPF, BGP, and IPSec networking protocol experience.
• ITIL experience, in particular with ServiceNow

Preferred Experience:

• Network management and performance analysis tool experience.
• Experience with Cisco DNA
• Experience with Aruba airwave
• Ekahau, iBwave, or other WLAN design and benchmarking software experience
