Position Summary
The Product Management Sr. Manager position exists to successfully execute products / initiatives while providing coaching, growth opportunities and leadership for the Enterprise Product Acceleration Product Management practice. You will provide guidance and direction to product teams and direct reports on planning and execution of products, technical and functional standards and practice, process and procedures and career development. You will participate in annual budgeting, capital processes and quality improvement activities for the organization.
Product Management
- Responsible for product strategy, vision and the product backlog
- Use customer feedback, detailed market analysis, and data gathering to make decisions about product strategy
- Define and manage metrics to measure the success of your efforts and to inform the overall product strategy
- Know your customer; invest significant time speaking with your current and potential customers to understand their needs & habits
- Engage in build-test-learn activities to quickly validate assumptions and product direction
- Decompose complex problems into smaller manageable tasks by creating and prioritizing a backlog for your XP team
- Manage the product backlog, create an effective vision and provide timely stakeholder feedback on development iterations
- Ensure the successful execution of development standards to ensure tight feedback loops and clear product definition
- Coach and mentor members of the team as well as members of the cross-functional development organization on how to collaborate and conduct idea generation, consumer research, test design and execution, measurement, product implementation, customer interactions and roll out
Resource Management
- Set yearly goals focusing on career development. Discuss and layout plan of action to achieve goals and expectations
- Perform periodic assessment of CVS resources
- Provide formal and informal coaching and feedback to make good people great and great people greater across functional, technical and soft skills
- Perform mid-year and year-end assessment
- Provide comprehensive feedback on strengths and development areas Oversee, review and take action on time sheets for CVS and vendor resource to ensure compliance
- Actively participate in recruitment and selection processes for CVS candidates
- Commitment to ensuring teams adheres to the highest degree of integrity and Code of Conduct standards
Customer Relationship Management
- Consult with business and IT stakeholders during execution of projects to ensure business and IT expectations are being met.
- Address any challenge or road block to accomplish product goals and expectations
- Identify and develop services and service level agreements (SLAs); educate senior leaders on service related information and continually improve related processes
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of IT or Digital Product Management, IT or Digital Project Management, Business Analyst, or similar full SDLC experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Product Manager role and 3 years of experience in translating business needs and requirements gathering to IT or Digital Products.
- 5+ years deep knowledge of information technology principles, Agile development methodologies and knowledge of Cloud platforms / applications/ software products or design tools.
- 5+ years of experience in handling customer expectations and relationship building.
