Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. 

We are looking for a Sr. Associate, Strategic Finance – Consumer Forecasting & Analytics to operate, manage, and improve the forecasting and analytics for our key consumer metrics. You will manage complex forecasting models, monitor and analyze metrics trends, explain variance drivers and other consumer engagement insights to stakeholders, while continuously improving performance management processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and forecasting skills, proactive communication skills, and an ability to meet tight deadlines will be critical for success in this role.   

Responsibilities: 

  • Supports performance management by creating, maintaining, and updating complex models and forecasts for consumer ecosystem metrics.  
  • Access, transform, and synthesize data from cross-platform data sources and analyze to assess signals, trends, and risks. 
  • Leverages advanced knowledge to develop hypotheses using identified signals, trends, and risks.  
  • Executes ad hoc analyses to prove/disprove hypotheses and address ambiguous or complex business questions, deriving actionable insights from results.  
  • Operationalizes ideas and develops plans for execution with some support from more senior team members.  
  • Builds collaborative relationships with other teams and seeks input and feedback to develop an understanding of their priorities and constraints. 
  • Communicates implications of work (e.g., forecasts, analyses, trends) to management and cross-functional stakeholders to drive action.  
  • Partners with cross-functional stakeholders to support the growth of initiatives by providing a metrics- oriented perspective, with minimal supervision. Communicates with stakeholders to answer a wide variety of complex questions.  
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures to develop workstreams and operational processes. Proactively identifies obstacles and works to unblock them with minimal support. 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field AND minimum 3 years of experience in finance, finance accounting, management consulting, investment banking, or related field OR equivalent experience. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 1+ years of experience in the technology industry. 
  • Experience building complex forecast models using SQL, Excel, and other tools

The pay range for this role is $96,000 to $156,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
