About the role

Description

The Senior HR Generalist is a versatile and critical member of the People Operations team, responsible for managing core POPs functions while contributing to strategic initiatives. This role requires a balance of administrative expertise, problem-solving, and a collaborative mindset to ensure the organization remains in compliance, operate efficiently, and ensure that team members are effectively trained in and satisfied with their role. 


Responsibilities

  • Employee relations, serving as a trusted point of contact for workplace concerns.
  • Benefits administration, including auditing invoices and managing enrollments/terminations.
  • HRIS management and reporting to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Compliance management to ensure we meet I-9, EEO, FMLA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Leave of Absence (LOA) administration and performance review support.
  • Leading new hire onboarding and assisting with strategic HR projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.\

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or similar equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of HR experience in small to medium-sized businesses.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to adjust dynamically to complex situations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires the effective use of office equipment including, but not limited to, computers, phones, and printers
  • Ability to communicate via phone and in person in an active office environment
  • Ability to sit at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift to 10 pounds at times
  • Ability to work well within and with other teams
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
