We are looking for a skilled Part-Time QA Analyst specializing in UI and API testing in the payment and financial services industry. Your role will involve working with the client's scrum team to support UI and API testing on their latest Gateway project. This Part-time contract position runs until October 2024, with the potential to become a full-time role within the contract period.

Summary

• Job Type: Part-time
• Project duration: Until October 2024, with the potential to become a full-time role. 
• Work schedule:  From Monday to Friday, four hours a day between 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. GMT. The client is willing to accommodate flexible working hours.
• Location: LATAM, EMEA, and APAC
• Type of Testing: UI and API Testing
• Must-have devices: One Android and one iOS phone. The person will also be provided with access to BrowserStack.

Eligibility

• Candidates with full-time job commitments (8 hours per day) are not be eligible to apply for this role. 

Experience Needed

• 2+ years of testing experience, writing & executing test cases, and reporting issues on web and mobile platforms.
• Experience in UI testing.
• Experience in testing public-facing and third-party REST APIs with tools such as Postman and Insomnia.
• Experience in both functional and non-functional testing.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum teams.
• Solid software development life cycle knowledge, testing methodologies, and QA processes.
• Good understanding of the finance industry and payment systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 

Human Skills

• Have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Enjoys meticulous troubleshooting and possesses problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

Nice to Have

• Degree qualified in computer science or a related subject.
• ISTQB qualification or working towards.
• Experience working with cloud-based technologies and micro-services.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist in the UI and API testing efforts on the New Gateway project.
• Effectively understand and translate product and business requirements into test scripts and scenarios.
• Develop and execute tests on new features at UI and API levels.
• Raise and triage defects.
• Ensure that deliverables meet functional requirements and design specifications.
• Help identify and write acceptance criteria for user stories.
• Write and maintain technical test documentation.
• Assist in Identifying areas for improvement in test approach and efficiency.
• Promote a culture of quality in the development team.
