About the role

Under direct supervision of the Software Implementation Analyst Manager, the Software Implementation Analyst is responsible for acting as a liaison between client, staff and IT by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be
solved.

Acts as a liaison among business stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business products, processes and systems. May also be a liaison to external customers. Collects, analyzes and synthesizes data to document requirements, and translates into detailed technology needs & formal specifications. ensuring needs of stakeholders and business are met Reviews business and product needs, instructions, regulations, and laws for complex projects; implements these changes into software using intermediate level programming skills, testing, and providing support to customers as required. Authors & communicates requirements documentation Depending on the nature of the project, undertakes a combination of project management, technical implementation, and testing analyst tasks. Expected to have either a strong proprietary knowledge base or multiple years of previous experience in requirements analysis and authoring. Takes on higher level business requirements & specifications

About the Role:

  • Responsible for the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of a client's business needs and requirements.
  • Elicits, writes formal specifications, and communicates business requirements between development and client to design and implement business solutions.
  • Develops and improves business processes within the technology and business organizations and understands client requirements, specifying and analyzing these to a sufficient level of detail to ensure clarity of definition.
  • Translates complex business requirements into technical solutions as required.
  • Makes technical solution recommendations to meet requirements based on understanding of how technical solutions will impact the business and stakeholders as required.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining a relationship with customers.
  • Uses a structured requirements process to assess near-term needs.
  • Adheres to metrics to ensure customer satisfaction and may recommend metrics.
  • Ensures that implementation follows the design.
  • Ensures change management and communication of change to team and/or client is done in a systematic way for complex projects
  • Proactively identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to the process.
  • Develops an in-depth awareness and understanding of multiple Thomson Reuters technologies, products, and services.
  • Participates in short term planning sessions with a client to improve a business process

About You:

  • Advanced knowledge with the Software System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong customer focus in all tasks and activities, even while at times under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work cross functionally and communicate company database information to developers, management team members and others as needed
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels both inside and outside of the organization
  • Follows instructions, responds to management direction
  • Strong ability to gather and translate business requirements into solid product specifications
  • Solid written and verbal communication, listening, organization and priority setting skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office 365
  • Intermediate Knowledge of Microsoft Visio
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile SDLC Methodology
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or closely related field;
  • At least (5) five years’ work experience in business analysis, or closely related field; OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
