Your team

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You’ll be working in the Managing Investments Technology team focusing on providing high quality technology solutions to support Portfolio Management and Trading across UBS Asset Management. You will be part of a pod working in agile ways of working to deliver a first-class scalable, digital and integrated Multi-Asset Portfolio Management and Trading platform, specifically working on initiatives to introduce a service based, event driven, messaging architecture in Azure and move away from On-prem systems where possible.

Your expertise

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree or equivalent focusing on Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline
• strong experience of developing high performant Microservices in Java. Command of Java tools, technologies and frameworks including Spring
• strong experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL server to help move from On-prem to Azure and familiarity with other database technologies such as NoSQL
• experience with Cloud architecture and engineering, ideally on Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Kubernetes Service, Container Apps, App Service, Functions, Event Grid and Service Bus)
• experience with Messaging platforms, ideally Kafka
• comfortable with K8S fundamentals and building and deploying services in K8S
• experience with Microservice and Event-Driven architectures
• Agile, Test Driven Development and DevOps practices are part of your DNA
• comfortable with Git and developing software in CI/CD fashion
• comfortable in Unix and being able to write bash scripts, run commands in Linux
• a Software Craftsperson focused on engineering best practices and delivering Clean Code
• good communication skills – both written and verbal and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, you like to figure out how things work
• keen interest in understanding how the business works and passion for learning and innovation
Nice to have
• experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Unix shell scripting, Job scheduling using Autosys or similar tech stack
• experience with writing IAAC pipelines using Terraform

Salary information

US Only: The expected salary range for this role is $140000 to $180000 based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. Please see «Your role» section for detailed salary information.
