About the role
Zappos is looking for a Software Engineer II to help drive technical decisions and implementations for our Engage Tech Engineering Team. Your decisions and implementations will help our aim to increase customer engagement via targeted outbound strategies, help customers make informed purchases, and ensure customer loyalty with Zappos.
You will be working with a unique and gifted team developing new, exciting, and cutting-edge products. You will collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers and UX designers. You should be comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment, and contributing to innovative solutions, while demonstrating leadership and meticulousness.

Key job responsibilities
• Own the solution architecture and design across Salesforce, Marketing Cloud and other
applications supporting the Sales and Marketing teams.
• Work with functional and business clients to determine solutions that drive additional
business value.
• Create technical specifications and provide analysis between current and future states.
Be a technical subject matter expert.
• Establishes and evolves best prac,ces for the development efforts within the Salesforce
Marke,ng Cloud plaEorm
• Supervise the configuration, quality assurance, testing, and deployment of Salesforce
• Customize Salesforce to fit business requirements. Resolve technical issues in areas of
ownership
• Leads the migration and development of Salesforce applications for business
stakeholders
• Understands underlying Data.
• Pro-actively identify opportunities to leverage Salesforce.com in innovative ways to improve
existing business processes, and support an organization scaling at a rapid pace

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience in custom Salesforce Development with minimum 3+ years as a Salesforce Architect.
- Experience with AmpScript, data architecture, SQL and ETL processes.
- Experience with HTML/CSS/ JavaScript required.
- One or more current Salesforce certifications
- Experience building services using AWS services.
- Understanding of B2C marketing, at scale

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
