Are you passionate about backend billing systems and eager to work with cutting-edge technology? We're looking for a talented individual to join our PLS Billing team, where you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our mainframe operations.

What You'll Do:

• Dive deep into mainframe systems, utilizing your skills in COBOL, CICS, JCL, and DB2.
• Develop and maintain Java Springboot microservices to enhance our backend infrastructure.
• Design and implement REST APIs and API proxies to streamline our processes.
• Collaborate with a team of experts to integrate JavaScript solutions.
• Optimize our CI/CD pipeline for seamless deployments.
• Manage and contribute to our projects on GitHub.
• Leverage Kafka for efficient data streaming and processing.

What We're Looking For:

• Proficiency in mainframe technologies (COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2).
• Experience with Java Springboot microservices.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and API proxies.
• JavaScript expertise.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub.
• Knowledge of Kafka for data streaming.

As a Software Engineer, you will focus primarily on providing high quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying and/or supporting existing packaged or custom-built applications. In this capacity, you’ll analyze, code, configure, test, debug, document and maintain applications.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyzes, solutions, develops, tests, debugs, documents and deploys software according to standards in an agile environment.

• Applies secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.

• Uses DevSecOps practices, tooling and techniques.

• Drives continuous improvement and learning through ongoing training, practice and innovation.

• Manages medium to large project priorities, deadlines and deliverables proactively.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to a Technology Manager/Director. 

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Completion of undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree. 

Experience: Four or more years of analysis and technology experience.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming language suc
