Software Development Intern - Summer 2025

The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Software Development intern to join our team in Aurora, CO for Summer 2025! The internship will begin in May, last 10-12 weeks, and you will be expected to work 100% on-site.
You will work with a small, cross-functional team using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Your role is dependent upon your skillset and wrapped around our SAFe methodology employing Scrum, Kanban, and Extreme best practices. Each 5-11 person cross-functional team consists of at least a Team Coach, Product Owner, Software Developer, Test Engineer, and Deployment Specialist. Other roles that are shared across teams include Data Scientist, Lean UX Designer, System Administrator, and Information Security Specialist.
Responsibilities:
- The team is responsible for gathering requirements, identifying potential products both corporate and commercial, and making the Adopt-Buy-Create decision
- Adopt – adopt existing government or Open-Source Solution
- Buy – buy a proprietary offering
- Create – create new non-commercial software when there is no viable off-the-shelf product
- The team is responsible for building, modifying as necessary, integrating, testing, and deploying the software system to the cloud
- Simulated test data validates normal, extreme, and out-of-band processing capabilities
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must currently be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Be skilled at problem solving, motivated to collaborate with subject matter experts, and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance
Desired:
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, not required
- Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
