Software Developer

Job Purpose/Objective

The Software Developer is responsible for developing software applications using the DevOps methodology. Responsibilities include all stages of the development lifecycle from problem analysis through delivery of these solutions to production, as well as infrastructure management.  This position is also responsible for the support of the applications and infrastructure.

o   Build, set up and test infrastructure build

- Researching new technologies and staying abreast of technology changes and trends

- Production support

o   Troubleshooting

o   Code and infrastructure fixes

o   Addressing questions from the business teams

- Collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

- Documentation of code and instructions for other developers to follow

Required Education, Experience and Skills

·       Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience required

·       5+ years software development experience

·       Experience with the listed technologies

·       Experience working with agile methodologies

·       Strong quantitative, analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

·       Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts to translate business requirements into technical solutions

·       Able to adapt to change

·       Strong oral and written communication and listening skills

·       Ability to work in a collaborative, highly dynamic environment

·       Demonstrates accountability, ownership and responsibility for assignments and business needs

Technology Experience

·       AWS Cloud Services – Postgres, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, EC2, ECS, VPC, Redshift, Cognito, CloudFormation

·       Languages – Javascript, SQL (SQL Server, PostgreSQL), C#, Python, PowerShell

·       Runtime engines and frameworks – Node.js, Express, Vue.js/Vuetify.js, dbt, Microsoft .Net

·       Other Technologies/Standards – HL7, ANSI X12, MSMQ, Nant, Unix
