Job Description

The Sign Installer is responsible for the successful transportation and installation of a variety of signage and material types. A Material Installer is required to review and ensure that all material meets the required specifications for each project, prepare each item for mounting, and manage the placement and installation of all material as required. A successful Material installer is detail oriented, will demonstrate precision, is knowledgeable about the many different material types used and possesses a sound understanding of the applicable construction and installation techniques.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that signs meet clients' specifications in terms of spelling, font, size, and medium.
  • Load and transport signs, tools, and materials to the location safely.
  • Install all signs to MUTCD code
  • Prepare the site for installation by removing old signage, preparing the surface or structure, and securing the electrical connections.
  • Ensure the effective measurement, placement, connection, and installation of the material.
  • Mount and installing signs or material in accordance with all safety protocols.
  • Clear debris and materials from the site after each installation.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs to material, as needed.
  • Operate and maintain the tools and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Maintaining all necessary communication with the Project Management Team, Director of Operations and Director of Sales Operations daily. This includes properly taking completion photos and emailing them accordingly.
  • Properly completing all required paperwork as it pertains to logs, vehicle inspections, work order and timecards daily.
  • Obtaining and maintaining all required licenses in a timely manner as set forth by the company

Qualifications

  • VALID DRIVERS LICENSE 
  • High School Diploma or GED completion 
  • 2-year degree in a industrial-related field is a plus but not required
  • Must be able to and enjoy connecting with field-level customers and contacts
  • Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills 
  • Must adhere to and promote safe workplace practices 
  • Valid Driver’s License void of suspension or revocation 
  • Good knowledge of various types of signs including vinyl, channel letters, electrical signs, and road signs.
  • A sound understanding of the applicable installation methods, materials, and safety measures.
  • The ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Willingness to work during evenings and on weekends, as needed.
  • Typical workweek 40+ hours 
  • Majority of time will be in the field
  • The position may work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, not limited to heat, cold, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt 
  • Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving vehicles, and occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites 
  • Noise levels in the work environment and job sites can be loud  
  • Position may lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds  
  • If necessary, in the field, stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions; employee lifts pushes, pulls, or carries objects
