Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer (T05 Level).  This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program

The Sentinel program has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Systems Engineer to join the CDR Campaign team supporting activities including developing design review procedures, developing tools for tracking action items, refining metrics to verify spec readiness prior to CDR, and incorporating lessons learned to help our teams become more successful as they go through their design process. 

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Perform technical planning, support design reviews and continue the development of a tool to communicate and track action items internally and with our customer
  • Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts
  • Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature content both internally and externally
  • Conduct pre-review assessments to ensure readiness prior to formal design review

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires 12 years of relatable work experience with Bachelors Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM); 10 years with a Masters; or 8 years with a PhD
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
  • Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
  • 5 years of experience executing developed processes in Engineering and Manufacturing Development Phase
  • Experience developing in an Agile environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience conducting design reviews and other major milestone events
  • Model Based Systems Engineering experience
  • ICBM experience (or similar military or industry experience)

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
