We’re looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join our ever-evolving Payrix team to help us unleash the potential of every business.

About the team:

At Payrix, we are a global team of passionate client-facing, financial services, and technology experts. We provide vertical software companies with an all-in-one platform and white-label implementation approach to capitalize on the opportunities for growth, innovation, and transformation within embedded payments.

What you’ll own:

• Research, write, edit, and proofread more complex technical data for use in documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures, and specifications to provide clients with information regarding technical areas in a less technical way.

• Perform usability testing with clients on documentation and utilizes feedback to improve documentation and standards.

• Compose or update material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures and installation, operation and maintenance software and hardware.

• Select appropriate media and distribution methods.

• Assist in establishing style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations to meet business needs.

• Read previous documentation and design notes and uses computer-based training, or company technical products to gather and research technical information for use in more complex documentation.

• Interview programmers, engineers, developers and other technical personnel.

• Organize material and completes writing assignments according to set standards, such as order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.

• May maintain records and files of work and revisions, may select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts to illustrate material, assist in laying out material for publication and arrange for typing, duplication and distribution of material.

• Create, compile, and deliver more complex system/software developmental documentation packages from technical project team inputs, system requirements analysis, system design specifications, technical system design, technical procedure development, configuration control requirements, test and training specifications, and programming notes.

• Assist in creating project plan, etc. for completing documentation.

• Other related duties assigned as needed

What you bring:
 

• 5+ years of Technical Writing experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

• Effective planning, scheduling, researching and writing skills.

• Thorough knowledge of information mapping concepts.

• Skill in investigation and analysis, preparing written material and business communication and training.

• Proficient with the following software: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Document360 or similar documentation software.

• Skill in evaluating documentation, production and quality control and publishing system operation.

• Skill in understanding and focusing on client needs, establishing credibility and building relationships with clients.
