Storable is currently looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to provide distributed support of Windows and Mac systems and our cloud-based SaaS platforms in use by our 650+ employees spread across the globe. A successful candidate must be passionate about supporting a skilled and dynamic workforce, an effective and empathic communicator for their skillset, and driven to help develop a world-class IT organization. You will be joining a team whose primary focus is to enable the business to Do More in our remote and international environment!

What You’ll Do:

Customer Service is paramount. The ITOps service desk is the first point of contact for any IT questions across the organization, even if those questions are outside of the purview of what the ITOps team handles. Our team will do the legwork to find the correct answer or the person who can help.

• Engage in a positive, supportive journey of development within the ITOps team
• Monitor and respond to all incoming tickets to the ITOps service desk, triaging any high priority issues and working within ITOps and with other team to resolve more complex issues
• Provide administration and support to our deployment of MDM-managed Windows and Mac systems across our 650+ employees spread across the globe
• Work with our asset management inventory providers to ensure that Storriors have the hardware that they need, when and where they need it
• Develop ways to further enable Storable’s success through endpoint automation, applying creative scripting solutions and deep platform knowledge to zero touch deployment, patch and configuration management (especially on the Windows platform), information security compliance, and identity and access management
• Champion a DevOps approach to developing and delivering solutions through collaborative source control and API-driven CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining a strong focus on improving the end user experience, and enhancing the quality of life of the ITOps team
• Continually develop and improve ITOps internal and user-facing documentation regarding policies, procedures, and workflows
• Continually improve the end-to-end process for onboarding and offboarding for all Storable employees, including a focus on automating that process
• Configure and administer software / cloud-based systems / SaaS platforms including but not limited to:
• Microsoft Azure, Google Workspaces, AWS, Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence, etc), Slack, Zoom, OpenVPN, as well as a host of internal tools
• Participate in technical projects in alignment with organizational goals, including large scale IT migrations related to numerous and ongoing acquisitions

What you’ll need: 

• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell (Bash, zsh, Python a bonus)
• 5+ years Windows desktop deployment and administration
• 2+ years working with macOS deployment and administration a bonus
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer support skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic, remote team environment with self-starting initiative
• Work outside of normal business hours, including nights and weekends as needed

Bonus Points:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of experience
• Direct experience supporting Google (Google Workspaces), Azure (Microsoft 365), Atlassian (Confluence, Jira, Jira Service Desk), Slack, and Zoom
• Cloud based telephony system experience
• AWS, VPN administration experience
