Overview
Ready to shape the future of science and global health? ATCC, a pioneer in biomaterials manufacturing, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for an hybrid role (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) based in Manassas, VA. Background in Engineering and Manufacturing is required for this role.
The Senior Process Engineer will focus on identifying and implementing process improvements into the Manufacturing and Logistics operations at the ATCC Manassas site. This work will entail analyzing existing processes and infusing technology into the repository and shipping areas to improve operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Initiatives and Innovation: Lead the conception and planning of projects, exercising seasoned judgment in the selection of new concepts and technology to drive process improvement and innovation in manufacturing and warehouse processes and products. Your expertise will guide the adoption of advanced operational technologies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Project Management and Process Optimization: Recommend operational technologies and processes, drawing upon extensive experience to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality enhancement. Additionally, you will troubleshoot technical issues, ensure smooth manufacturing operations, and communicate findings through detailed reports and presentations.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Responsible for working with vendors to identify and spec new equipment and work with Facilities and Quality to get it commissioned and qualified. This includes developing concept engineering and facility drawings for lab, work cell, and warehouse layouts.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years' experience or equivalent experience.
- Experience in identification and implementation of process improvements within a manufacturing environment required.
- Background in Engineering and Manufacturing is required.
