Job Responsibilities 

• Manage, review, and deliver business valuation projects for the following purposes: financial reporting purposes (ASC 805/ASC 350), gift and estate tax, 409A/ASC 718, management planning, litigation support, and/or M&A 

• Scope new projects and prepare admin items for projects including, but not limited to client invoices, engagement letters, and proposals 

• Coach and mentor staff, senior and managers within the valuation practice 

• Work with staff, senior analysts and other managers to ensure all projects in the pipeline are completed on budget and on time 

• Frequently communicate with key client contacts throughout the valuation process 

• Network internally and externally to grow the business 

• Manage, key initiatives and metrics, including but not limited to metrics related to billing, utilization, and A/R 

• Maintain and develop key client relationships 

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, accounting, finance, statistics, mathematics, or engineering 

• Minimum of 6 years of valuation experience within a business valuation firm or valuation practice of an accounting or consulting firm 

• Prior experience effectively resolving external review issues (auditors, IRS, etc.) 

• Strong client communication skills 

• Good report writing skills, financial modeling skills, the ability to work well in a team environment 

• Relevant valuation designation(s) ASA, CPA, CFA, CEIV, CVFI, ABV, or CVA 

• Ability to develop external relationships (networking, referral sources, etc.) and the desire and ability to bring new clients into the business 

• Strong client management, consulting, communication, and leadership skills managing expectations and delivering high quality solutions on-time within scope and budget 

• Detail oriented, flexible, and responsive
